Program Overview
We acknowledge the historical struggles that racial and ethnic populations have faced, and we push students to address the needs of underrepresented and undervalued groups in public health. This course aims to address fundamental questions about racial injustices in medicine. With a focus on clinical practice, research studies, and access to care, we will evaluate the ways of current healthcare practices. The course addresses issues of race and ethnic stratification and the implications of overt racism by analyzing shifts in practice within the United States.
