Meet Donya Ahmadian, MPH, Civic Science Fellow

“AMSA aspires to be a guiding light within the medical space, opening gateways to meaningful learning and driving social change that can often feel out of reach. It is our hope and vision to foster a sense of community where medical students can connect, share openly, and find solace in knowing they are surrounded by others who care deeply about making a difference. Through this program, we aim to equip you with the tools to help identify the issues you care most about and to provide a platform and network of like-minded advocates and mentors. We strive to empower you to build the future of medicine that you envision, one where you can practice in alignment with your values and in pursuit of your dreams, without sacrificing what truly matters to you. We look forward to continuing to bring this vision to life at Future Physicians for Change 2025 and Advocacy Day, where we long to embolden you to take action towards the healthcare of tomorrow”

What is my commitment?

  • By applying, you agree to participate in 4 weekly calls (one per week) during the month-long program.
  • Calls can be voice or video, as agreed upon and arranged by each individual pair.
  • Suggested call length is 30 minutes or more to adequately address the week’s topic.
  • While the program is designed as a one-month sprint, we hope the connections made will continue beyond its duration.
