My name is Yash Patel. I am currently an MS1 student at Ross University School Of Medicine and the 2021-2022 Public Health Scholars Program Co-Director. I completed my undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Further, I completed my master’s studies in MPH at Chamberlain University. I have five years of research experience in the Cancer, public health, and preventive medicine fields. Each experience has taught me different skills that can be useful in my medical school career. I worked with CDC during the covid outbreak as public health advisor to follow prevention steps in the USA as Public Health Advisor. On the side, I enjoy traveling and listening to classical music. I hope, as Co-Director, I can provide more information to understand the importance of Global health, starting with Public health to premed and other medical students.
