Rachel Reed (she/they) is a fourth-year medical student passionate about reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ healthcare, and abortion care. They have a background in public health including infectious disease monitoring, program planning and evaluation, qualitative research, social determinants of health, and organizational leadership. She is passionate about the integration of abortion care and gender-affirming care into the primary care setting and aspires to provide full-scope primary care as a Family Medicine physician. They currently serve on the board of Desert Star Institute for Family Planning, a reproductive justice nonprofit in Arizona. She previously served as a course director for the Reproductive Health Scholars Program. In her free time, she likes to rock climb, practice yoga, play with her foster kittens, and spend time with her spouse and pets.
