Melissa is a fourth year medical student at Richmond Gabriel University, currently completing her clinical rotations in Atlanta, Georgia. Born and raised in Canada, she completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences at Queen’s University. She served as the president for her local AMSA chapter, working alongside her executive team to plan and offer learning opportunities as well to engage with the community through health fairs. She has also taken part in several courses offered through the AMSA Scholars Program and the Reproductive Health Project, in addition to serving as a course facilitator. She is also a research analyst on the AMSA Reproductive Health Scorecard. As a course director, she is eager to support students in building on their knowledge about reproductive justice and to continue to advocate for equitable and accessible healthcare for all.
