Jasrina Kaushal

Course Director, Advocacy

Jasrina Kaushal is the Course Director for Medical Advocacy in the AMSA Scholar Program. She is dedicated to advancing medical care in underserved communities and has written on systemic racial disparities in healthcare. Jasrina has been a keynote speaker at the Kidney Disease Impact Conference in both 2023 and 2024, where she has contributed significantly to raising patient awareness about disease management. Having completed the AMSA Health Justice Scholars Program in December 2023, she continues to seek mentorship to further her impact as a medical professional.

She is currently completing her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas and has a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science with a minor in Psychology from Carleton University. With a broad range of experiences in patient care, Jasrina has worked across various demographics and conditions in multiple countries.
