Bridget Watson Bio Trans Health Scholars
Bridget Watson is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine who is pursuing a career in family medicine with specific interests in LGBTQ+ health, comprehensive reproductive healthcare, and addiction medicine. She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Saint Louis University (SLU) to study neuroscience. Her favorite activity in college was volunteering at the Health Resource Center, SLU’s free, student-run clinic. Throughout medical school, she has uncovered her passion for primary care by volunteering at various student-run clinics in Cincinnati and fought for reproductive justice in her time on the board of Medical Students for Choice. Bridget has also helped design and implement a curriculum reform effort to include transgender medicine, trauma-informed care, and abortion. Outside of medicine, Bridget loves to dance, play volleyball, and care for her dog, Jaycie and kitten (who she recently adopted from Malia), Hazel.
