My name is Alia Merchant. I attend Saint James School of Medicine and Walden Univ. MD/MSIM program. I graduated from Univ. of South Florida, Honors College in Biomedical Sciences and MBA and GRC in healthcare management from Davenport Univ. I have served as an medical scribe, EMT-B, research, substitute teacher for local public schools and math and science tutor. I have traveled to Panama and Dominican Republic for medical mission trips. My involvement in AMSA includes serving as an active AMSA- IFMSA member, HOD reference committee for AMSA convention and AMSA Advocacy Liaison for Lobby Day. I have also completed HCFA and Advocacy scholar programs. In my past time, I enjoy running marathons and teaching Sunday school.
