Register yourself here — Chapter leaders need to be an official AMSA member. This is critical — and the only way anyone can access the juicy benefits (free programs, discounts, gift!, etc)
Tell all your chapter members to also join here. You’ll need 5 at a minimum to be considered a bona fide AMSA chapter.

Determine your Chapter President — and anoint at least one more. This is sometimes a co-president or a treasurer, you can browse all the suggestions here.
ID who your Faculty Advisor might be. An engaged faculty member who feels strongly about professional and personal development during medical school — you may already have one on file, see if they’re still game.
