Joy is a fourth-year medical student at Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, passionate about women’s health and reproductive justice, she is dedicated to advocacy and integrating the humanities with medical education. As the AMSA Reproductive Health Project fellow, she serves as a national student leader and connects chapters and members with resources and opportunities for campus-based reproductive justice events and workshops. With a background in dialogue and conflict mediation, she is interested in promoting safe and intentional spaces for students to connect and reflect on the experience of medical education and the sociopolitical climate they navigate.
