Swathi is a fourth year medical student and aspiring physiatrist at Penn State College of Medicine. She grew up in Queens, New York and studied Anthropology at CUNY City College.
Swathi is excited to serve as the Gender and Sexuality Action Committee’s Sexual Health Coordinator as well as the course director for AMSA’s Sexual Health Scholars Program. She is passionate about destigmatizing vulvovaginal and pelvic pain conditions and believes that healthcare is a human right. She hopes to equip learners with the knowledge and sensitivity needed to improve health outcomes for this patient population and create a more inclusive medical community.
When she’s not doing medicine you can usually find Swathi between the pages of a romantasy book with a cup of tea in hand.
