Elissa Cleland

HI! I graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I am currently a rising third year medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and I hope to pursue a career as an OBGYN. I am extremely passionate about protecting abortion access and fighting for equitable healthcare for people with uteruses and the LGBTQ+ community through advocacy and education. I am also an avid reader, binge-watcher, Taylor Swift enthusiast, and devoted cat mom (tuxedos for life). I previously served AMSA as the Sexual Health Coordinator and the Gender & Sexuality Chair. I am incredibly thrilled to continue my work in AMSA as the Secretary/VPIA!
