The Health division of Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of information and point-of-care solutions for the healthcare industry announced the refreshed design of UpToDate®, the popular online clinical decision support (CDS) resource, improves performance & usability across platforms. The new site makes it easier for clinicians to quickly find answers to clinical questions on any device or screen, and with fewer swipes, taps or clicks.
Familiar but faster: The updated web interface design remains familiar and intuitive to existing users but it has been re-engineered to be faster responding and loading, connecting users more quickly with UpToDate high-quality content and evidence-based recommendations for care.
Responsive: Clinicians can search, browse, and read UpToDate content in a format that automatically adapts to any screen size or device. From mobile phones and tablets to your desktop computer, the navigation and content layout at UpToDate is automatically optimized to fit the size of your screen, making it easy for you to navigate and read.
Updated Search Experience: Easy-to-use filters that refine results by “Adult”, “Pediatric”, “Patient”, or “Graphics” are more easily accessible at the top of search results. UpToDate search results include “Topic Snippets” or preview text under every result to give users a sense of what is in a given topic and why it’s relevant to their query.
Updates to Topics: Topics sport a simplified layout that is “cleaner” and easier to read.
Complements award-winning apps: Clinicians who rely on UpToDate but work in settings with restrictive mobile security or BYOD policies that make it difficult to access our app now can access a robust, mobile web-based alternative.
