I AM A LOOKING TO GO

J Conrado

LGBTQ+ Health (LGBT Advocacy) Coordinator

J grew up in southwest Florida where they went to nursing school and worked as a NICU nurse for a few years before moving to Boston. After a total of 9 years of working as a bedside nurse, they changed their trajectory, and now J is a rising 3rd year medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Prior to renewing their position as LGBTQ+ Health Coordinator, they served as AMSA National’s Gender & Sexuality Health Policy Coordinator. J is passionate about LGBTQ+ health, social justice, and intersectional feminism, and is excited to keep shaking things up with the rest of the Gender & Sexuality Team and AMSA. When J is not working or studying, they are spending as much time outside as much as possible, cuddling their love dumpling of a gatito, reading fantasy books, dancing, eating all the delicious things, and/or ADHD hobby hopping. They are looking forward to this upcoming year with AMSA!
