  • Cutting down med school to 3 years?

Recently read an article that New York University and other universities will offer select groups of students the option of completing medical school in three years instead of four. WHAT? How can I become part of this "select group of students"? Or do I even want to? On one hand, student debt levels would decrease dramatically but is three years enough time to learn everything I need to know and prepare me to practice medicine.

I'm interested in what others think of this....should medical school be only three years?
