Resident Work Hours

AMSA Responds to ACGME Work Hour Recommendations

AMSA commends the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for the recommendations they released today stating that first-year residents should not work more than a 16-hour shift. But the recommendations for intermediate-level and senior residents are not strong enough.
